Daily Jam

In some broadcast and media operations, particularly those which use drop-frame timecode, this is the name of a optional procedure to set timecode to correspond to the local time in a facility. It occurs at a time judged to be the least sensitive to facility operation, usually the early hours of the morning.

It does not necessarily occur every day. Such (time) jam operations may only be required during discontinuities such as Leap Seconds or Daylight Saving Time adjustments.
